Metapost: New Site Feedback

This is a temporary post to solicit feedback on the new site before I switch over entirely and to test the Facebook and Twitter linking. It’s very similar to the old layout, albeit with a sexier URL, but I please let me know if there is anything you’d like to see or have changed before the switch. Just comment here to let me know, and thank you in advance.

I’d also love to crosslink to your personal site if appropriately themed, just send me your address and let me know. I’m trying to find ways to promote and evangelize this new address, and I’m afraid I really don’t know how to do that…

Thank you for following me here.

I’m not sure if I’m just missing it, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to just see links to all the stories listed by title on one page. That would be a nice thing to have if possible. Other than that, this looks great. I love the layout and the aesthetic.

    1. Currently, you are correct. There’s a list on the right where the old library links used to be of Categories, one of which is Short Stories, and associated sub topics (I loved being able to connect Zero, One, Before, and The Blues as “The Plague Years”), but no direct story link. I’m looking into it now.

    2. Got it. There wasn’t a nice clean way to do it, so it’s just raw html at the moment. I’ll play around and see if I can get a more pleasing menu, but its back to being more or less what it was before. Thanks for the feedback!

Weird, that first comment didn’t post until I tried adding information and posting again. And now I can’t delete either. Sorry.

    1. Hmmm… I have anonymous commenting on, so it should work, and I got both posts. Deleted the anon one for now. This is a learning experience, no apologies needed.

  3. Welcome to WordPress! I have to admit to only reading your blog through Google Reader, so I can’t quite remember what the old site looks like. Confessions of a lazy mind.
